It’s an anti-hero type of character, good-natured and curious if extremely clumsy. In a way, he’s got a child’s personality (though not a brat’s personality) : the child can identify with him - yet he understands that Arnie’s behaviour shouldn’t be imitated, as he’s asked to make up for the damage caused by the small egg.

Coco is a magnet-clown (fallen from the fridge door) that represents the “sensible” counterpart of Arnie.
